Carbine type firearms in a Vehicular Environment • Know your state, region and environment(s) for the legalities related to carrying and utilizing firearms in vehicles.
Also study and be aware of the firearms and ammunition(s) capabilities (pos & neg).
‘Vehicular Dynamics and Vehicular Geometry’ is a real skill set with or without a sidearm and or a Patrol Rifle / Defense Carbine (Truckgun). Know the difference in the states you live, work and travel, the sub regions and environments and make sure you spend time training for your actual / anticipated environment(s) and reality(s).
In many places within the US, one most likely will not be driving w immediate response access to a carbine. Plan accordingly. If this need is anticipated in your state, region-area, make sure you follow all related laws and train the application of the firearm(s) from within and around vehicles and learn / understand the ballistic capabilities of your gear.
It’s not all about shooting skills. Learn to be observant and learn to assess, analyze and rapidly process a decision based on what is there that you observe as well as anticipate what you may not have observed to the best of the situation and your ability in that moment. The background will not be a range backstop.
