Ken has been an instructor since 1997, focusing on firearms instruction since 2009 and instructing regionally and nationally for the SIG Sauer Academy. In 2016 Ken established Ken Allen Training, LLC, a firearms, safety and outdoor skills training business. Ken offers consulting, product design, testing assitance and support, and travel training nationally (in addition to regular local group and private instruction opportunities in the New England Region). Ken owns and hosts "Kalashtober" the oldest, original and longest continuously run annual AK training, competition and community event in the country. The two-day event is national recognized, held annually every fall in NH, attracting national and regional industry support as well as participants from all over the country. Ken holds certifications as a Sig Sauer Master Firearms Instructor, International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI) Master Instructor, LE/MIL Vehicular Close Quarter Battle (VCQB) Instructor, NRA Pistol Instructor, and more. Ken is also a Certified Armorer and an experienced Armorer Instructor. Ken's previous experience includes time as a Search and Rescue Specialist and Confined Space Rescue Operator for the State of New York. Ken also has large event / group trip planning, coordination, organization, safety and management skills and experience having acted as a lead guide (licensed guide) for annual 35-75 participant, 10-day tripping events for many years. Ken has trained over 7,000 students on Pistol, Rifle / Carbine, Shotgun, Emergency 1st Aid, CPR, AED, Emergency & Trauma Response and Outdoorsman Skills . His students have included members of local, federal, and international law enforcement communities, military personnel, government officials, high level politicians, leaders of industry, professional athletes, and qualified citizens. Ken is a Patriot Life Member of the NRA, an active member of IALEFI (International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors) and is involved in additional organizations and provides volunteer services. Ken believes in perpetual learning, continued education, skill development, seeks to share knowledge with others and creates positive environments for community gathering, building and sharing. He has worked with, trained with and been mentored by some of the best in the industry.
